Can I learn two languages at the same time?
It depends on the pair and your levels. Research on how multilinguals learn shows the languages you already know actively help you learn the next one. But starting two similar languages from zero at once, like Spanish and Italian, is known to cause mix-ups, because interference grows when languages look and sound alike.
